Scottish ClubSport is looking for people passionate about community sport and with key skills and experience to join their board and help to drive the network of sports clubs to new heights.

The umbrella organisation formerly known as the Scottish Association of Local Sports Councils is a key connector of individuals, clubs, coaches and all involved in local sport across Scotland. They are looking for two ordinary directors, from a sports club or council background, and two independent directors.

Scottish ClubSport stated: “We are looking to recruit enthusiastic individuals with relevant knowledge and experience to fill these roles within the Board. Applications from across the membership and associated partners are actively encouraged at this time. We aim to widen the representation on the Board from across the membership and associated partners.

“We are particularly keen to hear from you if you have experience in or a working knowledge of one or several of these areas: Advocacy, Engaging young people, Equality, Diversity & Inclusion, Income Generation/Fundraising, Governance, Local Authorities/Government, Media/PR, Policy Development, Political Engagement, Research & Insight, and Volunteer Recruitment, Retainment and Development.”

Previous experience of being on a Board is desirable but not essential and the deadline for applications is 22 February. Further details can be found at the Scottish ClubSport website – https://www.scottishclubsport.co.uk/vacancies.
