The OSS is working with Scotland’s Towns Partnership and a wide range of partners to investigate how sport and physical activity could help Scotland’s towns and cities to recover lost footfall and income, and support local and national plans for regeneration.

The research, involving business owners and property developers, will investigate the varying roles played by community sport and physical activity in Scotland’s town and city centres, how this has changed in recent times, and what research and evidence, and good practice, exists in this area in the UK and globally. The project will have a particular focus on one of Scotland’s leading towns as it seeks to shape a new central health and wellbeing location.

More on this will be confirmed soon but if you would like to be involved in this research project, or have insight to share, please contact the OSS CEO David Ferguson at: david@oss.scot.
